Inter Milan chief Gabriele Oriali has confirmed they intend to sign Goran Pandev after his release from his Lazio contract.

The Macedonian just recently ended his contract with Lazio following a legal sentence which determined the Biancocelesti had been treating him unfairly.

"Pandev has special skills which would really suit our squad since he is different to all the other strikers we have," noted Oriali.

"Inter would no doubt have a strengthened squad - it is no secret we want to sign him.

"The club is ready to step in and do what's necessary. But his controversy with Lazio is not over yet so we will have to see what happens there."
