Inter Milan chief Marco Branca insists Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella was never under consideration.

Branca says they're happy with the work of Andrea Stramaccioni.

"We have never thought about Montella," Inter technical director Branca told Sky Sport Italia. "We decided to appoint Andrea five months ago.

"There was no time to consider Montella because we were immediately happy with the decision that we had taken."
