Inter Milan chief Marco Branca says Zlatan Ibrahimovic will soon sign his new contract.

The Swede is expected to pen an improved deal through to 2012 and Branca said yesterday: "We are working on it, but all is well. There will be no surprises.

"He is growing season after season because of his immense talent. He feels good here and knows he's in the right place at this time in his career.

"The Ballon d'Or? Why not? Last season he won the championship and with Inter he has played an exceptional season. Agreed, he has not won the Champions League, but we must pay attention to what a player does in his career.

"For value, he absolutely would deserve the Ballon d'Or."
