Inter Milan chief Marco Branca has defended their lack of summer signings.

Inter have only the Coppa Italia left to go for this season.

Branca said: "I absolutely do not regret our summer transfer strategy, as we could not predict injuries would keep Walter Samuel and Diego Milito out for such a long time.

"We did what we had to and all that we could at that time."
