Inter Milan chief Ausilio stands by pulling out of Juventus swap

Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio stands by the decision to drop their planned swap involving Fredy Guarin for Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic.

The Guarin-Vucinic exchange with Juventus collapsed at the last minute in January.

Ausilio said: "The meeting with Juve did happen, there's no point denying it, but it wasn't concluded because there were elements that made us think it wasn't a good idea. That had nothing to do with pressure from the fans.

"The important thing to remember is that we hadn't reached an economic agreement yet. Now we are happy to have Fredy, just as Juve are to have Vucinic."
