Atletico Madrid are bullish about keeping hold of coach Diego Simeone for next season.
It's been revealed the Argentine has rejected a return to Inter Milan just this week.
Marca says Inter chief Piero Ausilio flew to Madrid this week for talks with Simeone. The pair met at a local restaurant where Ausilio tabled his offer.
The numbers discussed was virtually a "blank cheque" as Inter owners Suning seek to bring the club's former captain back to Italy this summer.
However, despite the stunning proposal, Simeone's response was negative.
Simeone informed Ausilio he was happy where he is and wants to lead Atletico into next season.
