Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has welcomed the signing of Genoa striker Rodrigo Palacio.

Zanetti is delighted a fellow Argentine is joining Inter.

"He is a champion and will give his contribution to the side," captain Zanetti told Inter Channel.

"In the last few days we have welcomed back some young lads, like Coutinho and Jonathan, and are already working on next season.

"Then we'll have our summer vacation and therefore the new campaign to prepare for, with its many commitments."
