Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has defended Esteban Cambiasso after his dismissal in defeat to Juventus.

Cambiasso was sent off late on for a heavy challenge on Sebastian Giovinco.

"I heard that somebody on television said he deserves a five-match ban," Zanetti told Inter Channel. "Let's not blow it out of proportion, come on...

"It's the first time he's been sent off in his career. It was just a nasty foul, he made a late challenge."
