Inter Milan can survive Eto'o sale, insists Gasperini

Inter Milan boss Gian Piero Gasperini insists they can handle the sale of Samuel Eto'o to Anzhi.

Anzhi are convinced they've struck terms with Inter for the Cameroon striker after a lunch meeting yesterday.

"There is no confusion at Inter," insisted Coach Gasperini in the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Things have been very clear for a while now. The media have been talking about Eto'o and Wesley Sneijder for 40 days, going over what might or might not happen on the transfer market.

"I can tell you I consider these two players to be excellent, but the foundations of a team have to be a strong collective.

"Obviously it will be disappointing to lose Eto'o, as he is a great player, but Inter will be strong, with or without him."
