Inter Milan boss Stefano Pioli happy to see off Udinese

Inter Milan boss Stefano Pioli was pleased with their 2-1 win at Udinese.

Ivan Perisic struck twice for the Inter win.

“Inter were always in the game and we learned how to grit our teeth during difficult moments, even if we didn't start the way we wanted to," Pioli told Mediaset Premium.

“We held out to the end and created many opportunities, finally winning away to a very difficult opponent. The lads worked hard and gave their all on the pitch today, so I am pleased for them.

“This team can be competitive and fight every match with confidence. The attitude makes the difference and my players were rewarded for their hard work.

“Now we have the desire to work together in a certain way and be a unit, because without a group ethic, you'll go nowhere. Not everyone can create five or six clear-cut chances in Udine."
