Inter Milan boss Ranieri: No more square pegs in round holes

Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri insists there's no big secret over their form turnaround since his appointment. After replacing Gian Piero Gasperini under a week ago, the Coach has seen his men beat Bologna 3-1 and CSKA Moscow 3-2.

"I am happy with the three points that allow us to get back on track in the Champions League," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"The first half performance and the pride of our reaction after the break are the most positive elements."

Inter had thrown away their 2-0 lead in Moscow before Mauro Zarate snatched the Group B victory.

"It was wonderful seeing the lads want that win back and push the way they know how after the equaliser.

"I know that those who played in these two games under me have given their all. I saw Ricky Alvarez sacrifice himself for the team by working to help the defence.

"It's true that there are many players missing, but they are all champions. I don't know how far we can go, but this is a side that can have its say on Italian and international level. Clearly you need that little bit of luck, as without that you'll get nowhere."

Ranieri has transformed Inter in only two games and revealed his secret with a sideswipe at Gasperini.

"We talked it over with the team. I put the players in their ideal roles."
