Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Chelsea striker Didier Drogba this week.

Milan-based Mediaset says Mourinho knows Drogba wants to join him at Inter and despite him being Cup-tied from the Champions League, the coach is urging president Massimo Moratti to launch a bid for the Ivory Coast international.

Moratti is reluctant given Chelsea's £18 million asking price, though the cash component could be significantly lessened if he included Mario Balotelli in their offer.
