Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho is chasing Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez.
The People says Mourinho is ready to go head-to-head with old rival Sir Alex Ferguson in a battle for Tevez.
Former West Ham star Tevez arrived at United in 2007 on a two-year 'rental' agreement from his owners MSI, which expires next summer.
And with neither Tevez nor United in a any rush to make the transfer permanent, Mourinho could make a move for the player in January.
It is believed that former Chelsea boss Mourinho has already contacted MSI chief Kia Joorabchian to register an interest in signing Tevez in the summer.
