Inter Milan boss Mourinho pleased with fight-back

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho was pleased with the response of his players after their 2-0 win against Genoa.

The Nerazzurri needed a result after a midweek 3-0 Coppa Italia thrashing to Sampdoria, so they conquered Genoa 2-0 in the same stadium.

"The team had a positive response to recent events," said the Coach. "We took the lead immediately, but it still wasn't easy against this opponent. We did well to control the game."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock after 90 seconds, but Mario Balotelli's goal was controversial, as the ball may or may not have completely crossed the line.

"I didn't get a clear view from my position. In any case, I don't want to talk about referees any more, I am just a Coach who wants to get on with his work.

"I cannot say if an extra referee would make a difference in determining situations like this. All I say is that the referee had to work very hard today, because the match was played at a high tempo."
