Inter Milan boss Mourinho makes plea to boo-boys

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho was unhappy with the booing from his own fans after their 2-0 defeat of Lazio yesterday.

"I have been here for 10 months and give me soul to the club. I like Inter and San Siro, so I would love to celebrate the Scudetto here," said the Coach, who saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sulley Muntari hit Inter's goals.

"However, there are moments of frustration during the match. The fans want more and for better performances - so do we - but we are doing our best.

"The squad seemed so vast, but with injuries we ended up always playing the same people and they are tired, physically and mentally. This Scudetto is right there and it feels like it's never going to arrive!

"We need the fans and the crowd have to understand that. It didn't seem right to me that they react negatively when a player makes one mistake.

"San Siro is more enthusiastic and participates in the game than they did before, but they should not jeer their own players when they are so close to the Scudetto."

This result means Inter need only six points from the final four games to clinch the title, regardless of what Milan and Juventus do.

"We're nearly there and six points from an available 12, considering we lost only three games all season, obviously we think we'll do it," continued Mourinho.
