Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has explained why they're being linked with Tottenham players Jermaine Jenas and Gareth Bale.

"In July the Daily Telegraph paid me to take part in their fantasy football competition and in my ideal team I had Jenas and Bale, but others too," said Mourinho.

"That was in July. Now, six months later the transfer market opens and this story emerges that I want to sign those players.

"It's true that I like them, otherwise I wouldn't have put them in my fantasy team, but the transfer market now has absolutely no rules. It seems to me that someone wants an Inter player and so they're spreading these stories…"
