Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has revealed he could be taking England to the World Cup. The Special One was asked about Fabio Capello's decision to strip John Terry of the England captaincy after tabloid revelations about his private life.
"He was a fantastic player and captain with me, but I won't comment on the decisions of the England manager or the owner of Chelsea.
"I am not the England manager, even if I could've been, and I am not the owner of Chelsea, which I never could've been.
"Yes, I could have been England manager," he reiterated. "I was very honoured when I was asked and on the one hand I wanted to do it, on the other I didn't, as I love training every day. So I said no.
"Then England did well to get the manager they have now."
