Inter Milan boss Mourinho defends his work

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has defended his work after a difficult week.

Massimo Moratti, the Inter president, slated their performance in defeat to Barcelona and pointed out Mourinho had "obligations" to fulfil in both Serie A and the Champions League.

"I see that the team is ready to begin again and I too am no longer thinking about Barcelona," said the Special One.

"I have my analysis of the situation, but I am keeping it to myself. A winning side must maintain the same attitude after victories and defeats, others go crazy with success and treat a setback like the apocalypse.

"I am happy with the progress of my squad. We are top of the table, won 10 out of 13 games and drawn two, while if the Champions League group finished today we would be qualified and have the last round at San Siro.

"How can I not be satisfied with a side that won so many of its 18 official fixtures this season, playing for the most part very well and scoring lots of goals?"
