Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho says Italian football should abandon their winter recess.

Serie A closed for Christmas on Sunday and doesn't open again until January 7 when Inter take on Chievo in an early kick off.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Mourinho said: "For me, it was absolutely wonderful to play all those games, with stadiums full of children and families, with a very beautiful atmosphere.

"From a sporting point of view, I miss football, even if for a little time."
