Inter Milan boss Mazzarri pleased with Real Madrid performance

Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri was pleased with their friendly win over Real Madrid on penalties.

Mauro Icardi's spot-kick cancelled out a Gareth Bale wonder strike in California on Saturday night, so the Guinness International Champions Cup tie was decided in a shoot-out.

"For the first 15 minutes we were a little static and our midfield was brand new, but strangely we started playing well after conceding the goal and got better as the game went on," said the Coach.

"I warned the younger players that Real Madrid always want to win and give it personality, even in a friendly tournament. These are two great clubs and that means always wanting the victory."
