Inter Milan are making a serious play for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.
Alerted to news that City have drawn up a new contract for Toure, 31, to consider, which will include a front office role once he retires, Inter coach Roberto Mancini is ready to make contact, says Gazzetta dello Sport.
Mancini is expected to call Toure this week about joining him in Milan next season.
The pair worked together at City, when the midfielder played his best football.
Mancini said only last month: "If we managed to sign him, it would be great for all of Italian football, just as it would if any Serie A side bought a champion."
