Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has dismissed Fiorentina's title chances this season.

Going into Sunday's game at the Stadio Franchi, the Viola are in fifth place, just four points off leaders Inter.

"It will be a very difficult match and we need a great performance to overcome this obstacle," said Mancini. "I don't know if Fiorentina can be considered competitive right away. Playing in the UEFA Cup and Serie A can be very tiring in the long run and this year will certainly have caused them problems.

"Over the years they will become a great side. Although not Scudetto contenders now because with a lot of young players there can be a lack of consistency, if they remain united for a number of years then they can create a winning cycle."
