Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez has been taken aback by the tension between themselves and Juventus ahead of today's game.
The Derby d'Italia has always been a fiery affair, but the situation escalated after Calciopoli and there is currently another trial into the wiretapped phone calls.
"There is also rivalry in other countries, like Liverpool-Manchester United or Real Madrid-Barcelona," said the Nerazzurri Coach.
"We have to take it down a notch and focus on football, especially off the field of play."
It is a mine-field for the Spaniard, who was so close to sitting on the Bianconeri bench instead of Gigi Del Neri.
"There was a great deal of talk about this, but I have a lot of respect for Del Neri. I am proud to be the Inter Coach, now let's talk about the future.
"Juventus are a strong side and changed so much over the summer. They are hungry for success and it'll be a difficult game, but we have faith. We can beat anybody."
