Rafa Benitez was pleased to win his first Serie A game as Inter Milan defeated Udinese yesterday.
Inter had started out with a 0-0 draw at Bologna and were struggling on home turf too before Samuel Eto'o scored from a parried penalty to secure the 2-1 win.
"It was an important result today, for many reasons, and I must thank the fans because they cheered us on for 90 minutes," said Benitez.
Diego Milito still does not look up to his usual standards after ending last season on stunning form.
"He is working very hard and giving everything he's got, so I am satisfied. You will see that he'll slowly regain his sharpness.
"All the forwards have to move more off the ball, both to attack and help the midfield. We started the game well, then lost control of the middle of the park.
"Towards the end we improved and could've scored a third goal. In the second half we worked together as more of a team unit."
