Inter Milan have moved to trump Arsenal for Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Arsenal have tabled a €10 million offer for the Argentine, while Velez are insisting on €15 million.

For their part, Inter are willing to put €12 million on the table to bring Alvarez to Milan.

It's understood new Inter coach Gian Piero Gasperini is eager to see the deal done as he views Alvarez as ideal for his playing system.
