Inter Milan are threatening Juventus hopes for Werder Bremen star Diego.

Juve are regarded as favourites for the Brazil international, but it's emerged Inter have taken advantage of international week to make a move for the midfielder.

Inter president Massimo Moratti has informed Werder they're willing to pay £17 million cash for Diego and expect a response from the Germans today.
