Inter Milan ace Wesley Sneijder hopes to follow in the footsteps of Holland's greatest by winning the Ballon d'Or this season.
Sneijder was asked to make his case for being awarded the prize:
"The treble, five goals at the World Cup and the Final I hope they take the entire season into account.
"I would like to win it as did Cruyff and Van Basten. I would like to be voted the best in the world."
