Aware of Inter's sudden move, Milan sent intermediary Enzo Bronzetti to Barcelona yesterday for a round of negotiations with the club's vice-presidents, Marc Ingla and Ferran Soriano.
Bronzetti discussed Ronaldinho and Barca teammate Gianluca Zambrotta - with Barca president Joan Laporta seeking around £25 million for the pair. Milan also asked for Rafael Marquez, but received short shrift.
Another crucial meeting will be held today between Milan and Barca officials.
