Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has mocked the return from injury of AC Milan's Rino Gattuso.

Ahead of next week's big derby, Mourinho sarcastically said: "Dejan Stankovic can recover before the derby and should already be in the side on Wednesday against Lecce.

"I like telling it like it is and giving out the correct predicted recovery times for players. Others prefer to suggest far longer lay-offs so it's all wonderful and marvellous when someone manages to return 'ahead' of schedule."

Gattuso suffered multiple fractures to his hand and wrist when accidentally falling into the dug-out during an Italy training ground test at Gradisca d'Isonzo, but he was back for Milan's victory over Lazio last night.
