Inter coach Mancini mocks AC Milan's CWC bid

Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has mocked AC Milan's Club World Championship bid ahead of tonight's final against Boca Juniors.

"I am not supporting one side or the other. I cheer on Inter and could do for Sampdoria and Lazio, the two teams I played for, but I watch the others simply because I enjoy football," said Mancini.

"I think it was better when the Intercontinental Cup was a one-off match between the champions of Europe and South America. Done this way it looks like a friendly tournament.

"It seems absurd to me playing six games for this contest. There are only two teams that deserve to play in the Final."

On his January market plans, Mancini added: "Every time controversy breaks out because there are stupid things written about Inter. They are trying to cause problems between the President and myself on players who may or may not arrive.

"They are trying everything to stir up trouble and suggest there is a power struggle, but they are not getting anywhere because we keep doing better."
