Inter coach Leonardo: I did not do wrong by AC Milan

Inter Milan boss Leonardo insists he's comfortable facing former club AC Milan tonight. Many in the Rossoneri camp were shocked when their former teammate and Coach opted to join rivals Inter and will come face to face for the first time in tonight's derby.

Leonardo said: "The emotions are many, but they are my emotions and they are not the most important thing about this derby.

"I don't forget anything. I haven't forgotten what I went through with Milan. But there is a tradition of an extraordinary game between the two sides who for a long time haven't played such an important game and this I believe is the most important thing."

Asked about the reception he expects from the Milan fans, Leonardo said: "The Coach has his role, but the game must be played and the players will be the ones do it. I don't forget for a second what I went through with Milan and I keep my past with me. But I don't believe that it will be my game.

"The first day at Inter I said that I respect the opinion of everybody. At age 30 I had a moment of introspection in my life and I had many thoughts. From then onwards I decided to live football in a positive way, whatever the situation.

"I live my life within my parameters and in my values. I have my certainties and I will live all my life with happiness.

"The derby will be decided by details and goes beyond tactics, above all between two teams who are second and first in the table. All the players know their opponents and there is nothing to discover.

"I had a very long relationship with Milan and it was positive. Now I have made a conscious decision about what could happen and I have done it basing myself on my feelings. At Inter I feel very tied to the club and I would like to once again thank everyone for the welcome I have been given.

"The two teams have a desire to play and to build inside of them. Everyone has their own style, but it will be a derby between two teams who have a lot of desire to win."
