Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has sympathy for AC Milan counterpart Pippo Inzaghi.
Inzaghi could be sacked if Milan lose to Fiorentina in their next game.
"The first years are difficult for everyone," Mancini told Gazzetta TV.
"You'll make mistakes, and that's normal. That said, you have to have the quality. I started at Fiorentina and in half a year we won the Coppa and came sixth.
"But it's different at Milan, it's always different at a big club.
"Having experience certainly helps, but as with any line of work, there are those who have more quality and those who have less.
"Pippo couldn't say no, but maybe he'd have been better gaining experience at Sassuolo and returning to Milan, but when these opportunities arise "
