Inter ace Sneijder still prefers Man Utd over Man City

Inter Milan ace Wesley Sneijder would prefer moving to Manchester United over Manchester City.

Inter Milan ace Wesley Sneijder would prefer moving to Manchester United over Manchester City.

The Daily Star Sunday says United remain favourites to land playmaker Sneijder, 27, as he wants to move to Old Trafford and further talks were held with his agent in Amsterdam last week.

But Italian sources claimed yesterday that big-spending City have offered £34million for Sneijder – after failing in a bid for Ajax whizz kid Christian Eriksen, 19.

A source close to the Inter star, though, told the Daily Star Sunday that Sneijder wants to join United.

But so far United have been unable to agree the total financial package in terms of the fee to Inter and Sneijder’s wages – believed to be £250,000 a week.

Lawyers representing all parties are working on a solution and United are still favourites to eventually land Sir Alex Ferguson’s top target.
