Insua says Liverpool can silence doubters with Man City victory
Liverpool fullback Emiliano Insua says victory over Manchester City this weekend will go a long way to silencing their doubters.
Mark Hughes's side are sixth in the table, just one point and one place above Rafael Benitez's men.
"We are training well and everyone is focused and ready to show what we are capable of against Manchester City," Insua told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"They have signed a lot of good players and they are a good team but we have a good squad as well.
"They want to be in the top four but there are a lot of teams fighting for this. We have to push hard and start winning games. There is long way to go in the season and a lot of games left in the Premier League for us to put things right, starting with Manchester City.
"Maybe we are making some mistakes in defence and conceding goals from set pieces but we have worked hard on this in training and are confident we can put things right. City will come to Anfield to try and win and I think it will be a very open game. We have to be strong in defence and we have an advantage because we are playing at home.
"It's always really good for us to play at Anfield because the supporters are always behind us and pushing us on to victory. We always know when we play at home we have one more player than the opposition because of our supporters.
"We know we have to start winning games and this is a big game, but it's still too early to be looking at the league table. Maybe we can look at it again in February/March and then see where we are."

winning a hand full of big teams on day performance and ending up with 18 points at the end of the season is NOT what we call GOOD.... There is absolutely NOTHING you guys can do to make up for this utterly devastating start of this season!!! You have to accept your defeat take the blame along with your loss and move on from there... You will not be challenging this season so you have to sort yourselves out in the way that will let you end this season with a glimpse of a future for the clubs existance... that meaning you need to make your course for the 3rd seat wich will be hard enough..
