Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has discussed with directors the prospect of moving for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, it has been revealed.
Valverde has actively discussed Pogba's situation with staff and the board as an alternative to Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann.
Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, confirmed Valverde's plans: "I think it's almost impossible that Griezmann does not arrive, but if that happened, the one that Valverde likes the most, in another area, is Paul Pogba."
Inda revealed Barca plan to trump Real Madrid's Champions League tilt by pushing through a deal for Griezmann.
He continued: "The intention of Barcelona is that if Saturday Real Madrid is proclaimed champion of the Champions League, on Sunday they'll officially announce the signing of Griezmann.
"They want to ask permission from the French team to present him officially on Monday."
