INSIDER: Divisions remain between Conte and Chelsea board

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte remains unhappy with the makeup of his squad.

Conte is said to be unhappy with the board's efforts during the window, according to Daily Record journalist Duncan Castles.

Castles said on the Transfer Window Podcast: "Chelsea, as we've discussed several times, are nowhere near where Antonio Conte wants them to be as a squad.

"There are still huge divisions between Conte and the board which will have to be dealt with one way or another.

"So, you just have to look at the squad.

"They've lost the Premier League's best striker from their own mishandling of him in Diego Costa and replaced him with Alvaro Morata who is a good striker but Real "They've handed Nemanja Matic to Manchester United and replaced him with Danny Drinkwater.

"Drinkwater is a good player but is he on the level of Matic? No I don't think so."
