Barcelona directors made a cheeky approach to Roma sports director Monchi a fortnight it has been revealed.

Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda says a high-ranking Barca official "jokingly" asked Monchi about joining them - right in front of football chief Robert Fernandez.

He told El Chiringuito: "At Barcelona they are not very happy with Robert Fernández. It is considered that the great failure after being dropped from the Champions League is his fault, also the planning and signing of (Ousmane) Dembélé.

"In the box at the Olimpico of Roma, jokingly Monchi was probed."
