Manchester City's Wayne Bridge has emerged as a firm target for Scottish giants Celtic.
The 31-year old has been frozen out at Eastlands and is unlikely to be used by Roberto Mancini this season so may find it more beneficial to go out on loan so he can play regular first team football.
Former Southampton and Chelsea left-back Bridge, who spent part of last season on loan at West Ham United, has attracted interest from the Hoops but manager Neil Lennon has indicated that a deal is unlikely.
"We have made an inquiry for Wayne Bridge but it hasn't gone further than that," he said sternly after yesterday's 1-0 home loss to St Johnstone.
