Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari is facing six weeks on the sidelines.

The Zimbabwean's switches to Hull and Portsmouth collapsed and he was hoping to team up again with Sven Goran Eriksson at Notts County on loan to get his sharpness back.

However, Benjani has now been ruled out with a nagging thigh problem and he is unlikely to be playing - or moving - until the start of November.
