Injury will not stop Guardiola from luring Gundogan to Man City

Pep Guardiola still wants Ilkay Gundogan at Manchester City this summer despite the player's serious knee injury.

Borussia Dortmund star Gundogan dislocated his kneecap earlier this month and is now ruled out ofthe German national team for Euro2016.

City have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old midfielder for some time and even after this setback, incoming boss Guardiola has reportedly not altered his stance.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Gundogan remains one of Guardiola's priority targets as he gets set to shake up the City squad he has inherited from Manuel Pellegrini.

City could sell Yaya Toure this summer and want either Gundogan or Real Madrid ace Toni Kroos - or both - to replace the Ivory Coast veteran.
