Ron Vlaar´s knee injury has not deterred Feyenoord's desire to bring the Dutchman back to Holland.

Vlaar is a free agent, having been released by Aston Villa at the end of last season, but suffered a knee injury last week which will rule him out for up to four moths.

The Dutchman had been in negotiations with Italian side Lazio, but after sustaining the injury the Italians withdrew their interest. Feyenoord, however, had not been dampened by Vlaar´s injury and are set to offer the former Villa captain a deal to join them next season.
