Daniel Ayala has returned to Liverpool after his loan at Hull City was cut short by injury.

The Spanish centre-back has been a big hit with the supporters at the KC Stadium.

He made 12 appearances, scoring once against Nigel Clough's Derby County.

The loan was due to expire on January 1, and the injury is now being assessed by the medical team at Melwood.
