Injury forces Davenport to return to West Ham

West Ham defender Calum Davenport's loan deal at Watford has been terminated after he broke his neck on his Hornets debut.

The centre-half, 25, suffered the injury against Charlton on Saturday when team-mate Darius Henderson landed on top of him.

Davenport will remain in hospital for the next few days.

Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "Calum heard a crack and lost the sensation in his fingers."
