Chris Herd has been ruled out of the Australia squad for the forthcoming friendly with Scotland. The 23-year-old Aston Villa midfielder recently sustained a thigh injury which has not healed in time for him to be ready for Wednesday's match at Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh.
Herd, is still waiting for his first senior international cap having also had to withdraw from the Socceroos squad for last year's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Oman and Thailand.
