Injuries put a dampener on Man Utd win

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed several injuries out of the Carling Cup semi-final win over Derby County. "Anderson is going to have to go for an X-ray, there is some damage but we don't know what yet," Ferguson told Sky Sports.

"We will see what happens after the X-ray.

"We have had quite a few injuries tonight and it has been quite a bad night in that way.

"Jonny Evans has got a recurrence of his ankle injury. He has been holding it for a few weeks now, hopefully he will be okay in a week's time.

"Rafael has a hamstring injury and he will be out for a few weeks."
