Kenny Dalglish says that a mounting injury list is no reason to make excuses if results again start to go against Liverpool.
The sixth-placed Reds have now lost captain Steven Gerrard for the rest of the season adding to the injury problems surrounding Daniel Agger, Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly.
Ahead of Monday night's meeting with third-placed Manchester City at Anfield, Dalglish says that the depth of his squad will now surely be tested but he does not want to hear any excuses relating the current injury problem at the club.
"Anybody getting injured is disappointing for us, but also disappointing for the players," said the Reds boss.
"We know where we stand and we have to get on with it.
"It may be stretching the resolve of the players a little bit but we've got to go right to the limit and make sure we're not feeling sorry for ourselves because we've lost three or four players through injury.
"We've just got to get on with it and accept that's the position we're in. It's up to us to make the best of it."
