Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard is looking to return from a serious knee injury by September, which is much sooner than expected. The 30-year-old has recently had knee surgery in America after sustaining an injury soon after his £5 million move to the KC Stadium.

Speaking to The News of the World, Bullard said, "I am in countdown mode already. Six months is the average recovery time for an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction so I am optimistic that I shall hit that time-scale."
