FC Ingolstadt striker Edson Buddle has been drafted into the USA squad as replacement for Landon Donovan.
The former LA Galaxy man will come in for his old teammate who strained his quadriceps muscle in his right leg in the Galaxy's 2-1 MLS win over Real Salt Lake on the weekend.
The US take on CONCACAF rivals Honduras in Miami's Sun Life Stadium on October 8 before Juergen Klinsmann's men will head to Harrison, NJ, where they will take on Ecuador at Red Bull Arena.
Buddle has been in top form in the German 2.Bundesliga this season, scoring five goals in 10 appearances.
