Ingimarsson seeking Reading "turning point"

Reading captain Ivar Ingimarsson is hoping for an upsurge of results after Saturday's victory over Middlesbrough ended an eight-game losing streak.

Ingimarsson said: "This is hopefully the turning point. When you lose eight games in a row it does affect people's confidence on the pitch so I'm really proud that we've managed to stop that rot.

"Hopefully we can build on it and take it into the next game. Everybody contributed and that is how it has to be until the end of the season. It is a good thing but only the start of a lot more moments for us.

"We are in a really tough situation. The players have fought really hard to get into the best league in the world and we are close to possibly going out of it. So we had to work really hard and fortunately we did it."
