Indian multi-billionaire Anil Ambani has expressed interest in buying out Everton.
The Sun says Ambani, the world's sixth richest man with a fortune approaching £25bn, was rumoured to have been interested in taking over Mike Ashley's Newcastle.
But the chief of Indian mobile network company Reliance Communications has denied that link - and set his sights on Merseyside instead.
Everton chief Bill Kenwright revealed at the club's EGM last week he would sell up if the right offer came along.
He said: "I'm a pauper when it comes to other chairmen, a total pauper.
"We'll keep looking for a new owner."
